Pitch Your Idea is a curated pitching platform designed for writers and filmmakers to present original ideas for films and web shows to Producers, Investors, OTT platforms, and Industry Professionals.
The event aims to create a focused space where selected participants can articulate their story idea, creative vision, characters, and narrative potential through a structured pitch. The pitching sessions will be followed by feedback, discussion. Pitch Your Idea encourages strong storytelling voices and seeks projects with distinctive perspectives, cinematic ambition, and series potential.

Rules & Regulations
- Feature Film, Web Shows are acceptable.
- All languages are accepted. Please ensure that the material submitted is in English Language and the pitch presentation will be in English Language..
- Participants can apply with multiple projects but please note that only one project per participant will be selected.
- Participants must be 18 years and older at the time of submission.
- All submitted ideas must be original work created by the participant. The submission must not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property.
- All submissions must be made through the official submission form within the announced timeline.
- Incomplete submissions or submissions without required documents will not be considered.
- Please create a ‘MyCineX’ account to apply.
- Applicants will be required to submit the Log Line, Synopsis. Please keep this material ready with you before starting to fill out the application form.
- The applicant may add a watermark on the documents “For IFFD CineXchange Pitch Your Idea”.
- The IFFD CineXchange Pitch Your Idea team will facilitate the Pitching Schedule.
- Please ensure that the email addresses provided in the application are active and regularly monitored, especially for the primary contact, as all official communication regarding the Pitch Your Idea will be sent to the primary contact.
- A total of 40 projects will be selected.
- The selected participants will be informed on 15th March 2026.
- The selection is based on the potential of the project, storytelling and originality.
- Participation is open only to creators who have previously written or directed at least one short film, feature film, or web show.
- Upon selection, the writer/director who has been attached while submitting the form can not be changed or withdrawn.
- Team submissions are permitted; however, one member must be designated as the authorised representative responsible for submission and communication.
- The decisions made by IFFD CineXchange regarding selections are final. IFFD CineXchange will not provide any justification and comments regarding the final decision on the selection of projects.
- IFFD CineXchange / DTTDC / its agencies has the right to reject/remove any application for non-compliance with any rule and regulation of the Pitch Your Idea.
- The submitted story must be registered with a valid authority such as Screenwriters Association (SWA), Writers Guild of America (WGA), or the Copyright Office of India, to be eligible for submission.
