The Viewing Room is a secure space created to present films exclusively to (selected) accredited industry professionals. It enables filmmakers to share their work with festival programmers, distributors, gap financiers, and other key decision-makers looking for compelling new stories.
Films of all lengths and genres, whether completed or in post-production are elibigle to submit.
All films are presented in a secure, private space to protect the content and the filmmakers’ rights. Only delegates who are particularly given access to the Viewing Room will be able to preview during IFFD CineXchange 2026. The Viewing Room is designed to provide visibility to festival programmers and industry professionals and does not constitute an official screening. It offers a professional environment to connect projects with suitable platforms for their premiere.
Applications will close once 200 entries are received. Applicants are encouraged to submit at the earliest.

Rules & Regulations
- Fiction, documentaries, animation, pilot episodes, live-action, and short films are acceptable.
- Submissions are welcome from all over the world.
- Only films in post-production and already completed are accepted. Films in the production stage are not acceptable.
- All languages are accepted; please ensure English subtitles are embedded in the film file.
- Eligible Film Lengths –
- Feature – 60 min and above
- Mid-Length – between 30 and 60 min
- Shorts - less than 30 min.
- All submissions will be included in the Viewing Room.
- Only 1 submission per director and 2–3 films per independent producer/production company will be accepted to ensure that all applicants have a fair chance to participate.
- Creating an account – a ‘MyCineX’ account has to be created to submit your film.
- Downloadable Film Link - A downloadable film link is required for the submission to be considered complete. Please provide a password-protected downloadable link to the film in the application form.
- Applications with non-downloadable links will be considered incomplete.
- Film Upload: Closer to the market, the film should be uploaded using the link provided by the team.
- Duration of the film file —the full film file has to be submitted. Unless the applicant chooses to submit only a partial clip of the film, the full film file is required. In that case, a minimum of 15 minutes have to be submitted. Trailers or pitch videos will not be accepted as submissions.
- Stills of the film – Three stills from the film are required.
- Undertaking Form - Submissions without the signed Undertaking Form will be considered incomplete.

- Please ensure the email addresses provided are active and regularly monitored, especially for the primary contact, as all official communication regarding the Viewing Room and the market will be sent to the primary contact.
- Non-accredited applicants (i.e., the primary contact) will receive a detailed report at the end of the market.
- Accredited applicants (primary contact) will receive daily reports of delegates who viewed their film, enabling them to connect and follow up directly.
- IFFD CineXchange / DTTDC / its agencies has the right to reject/remove any application for non-compliance with any rule and regulation of the Viewing Room section.
- The upload of the film will be done close to the market dates.
- This uploaded film file will undergo the processes of digitisation and encryption and will be stored on the server. This is the film file that will be viewed by the selected delegates (only those who are given access to the Viewing Room) of IFFD CineXchange 2026.
- Only delegates granted access to the Viewing Room will have the opportunity to preview this protected version during IFFD CineXchange 2026.
- The Viewing Room is a safe, private platform. Only registered delegates with specific roles—such as buyers, festival directors or programmers, sales agents, and distributors—can access it, as approved by IFFD CineXchange.

- All film and its contents submitted to the Viewing Room will be destroyed from the Viewing Room server within 10 days after the conclusion of the market.
- The Viewing Room is a safe, private platform. Only registered delegates with specific roles—such as buyers, investors, festival directors or programmers, sales agents, and distributors—can access it, as approved by IFFD CineXchange.
- Encryption – The film files in the Viewing Room software are non-downloadable and in an encrypted format.
- All delegates with Viewing Room access are made aware that any kind of download is a legal offence, and they have to acknowledge the legal repercussions of misuse of the system before logging into the Viewing Room software. IFFD CineXchange/DTTDC and its agencies reserve the right to suspend, dismiss, or cancel any user who is believed to have given their personal access to the Viewing Room software to an unauthorised person.
- The application to Viewing Room is free of charge.
- Submitting to the Viewing Room is only for inclusion in the Viewing Room programme. Please do not use the IFFD CineXchange logo in any promotional materials to suggest selection or official endorsement.
